Italian learners are always looking for new sources of Italian listening practice, and FluentU is one of the best. This subscription site offers videos for all levels of Italian, enhanced with quizzes, spaced repetition, and other tools to help you practice what you know and learn at your own pace.

Upon creating your account, you’ll be asked to choose a level and a daily goal (1 to 50 minutes per day); of course, these can be changed later. You can browse the 230 videos by level, topic, or format.

Italian Levels

The three main levels are divided into two sub-levels, similar to CEFR levels:

FluentU Trial and Subscription

FluentU offers a free 14-day trial, but in order to obtain it you must choose a monthly or annual subscription and provide payment information. Of course, if you cancel within those two weeks, you won’t be charged.

As you can see in the screenshot above, while FluentU has videos for all levels, it’s particularly well suited for intermediate students, as nearly a thousand of the videos are intermediate 1 or intermediate 2. But whatever your level, there are useful videos, quizzes, and vocabulary features that can help you learn and practice, so it’s worth taking advantage of the free trial and seeing if it works for you.
