Aggettivi negativi
Italian negative adjectives are used to negate or refuse nouns. Like other negative structures, negative adjectives – also called indefinite negative adjectives – have two parts.
Per esempio…
Non ho nessuna idea. | I have no idea, I don’t have any idea(s). | |
Non fa alcuna differenza. | It makes no difference. |
Characteristics of negative adjectives
- Used in place of an article, not with one
- Have two parts: the word non, which precedes the verb, and a second word which precedes the noun
- Are always singular
- Must agree with the negated noun in gender
- Have a different masculine form in front of complex sounds

Non c’è alcun dubbio. | There is no doubt. | |
